Bulah Mary (Douglas) Lucas of Parkin, Arkansas departed this life on June 28, 2025 at the age of 95. She was born on January 2, 1930 to the late Charles Lindley Douglas and the late Della Mattie (Perigo) Douglas in Dover, Tennessee. She raised her children and spent most of her life in Parkin, Arkansas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parkin. Bulah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Bulah married the love of her life, Bobby Dean Lucas, on June 14, 1947. Together they raised a family that included their children, Ronnie Lucas of Tyronza, Carolyn (Randy) Rash of Wynne, James (Gail) Lucas of Parkin, Elizabeth (Richard) Roberts of Collierville, Diane Patterson of Parkin, Patsy Bly of Parkin and Viola Williams of Wynne. In addition to her children, Bulah leaves behind a large family legacy, including 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Bulah lived a long life full of love and family. She was a devoted homemaker. She loved family dinners on Sundays, she enjoyed spending time in her vegetable and flower gardens, she enjoyed time with family just swinging on the porch and those cherished moments when her grandchildren would do her hair and nails.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Dean Lucas; daughter, Elizabeth Roberts; sons-in-law, Willie Patterson, Gene Bly, Randy Williams; daughter-in-law, Betty Lucas; grand-daughter, Loretta Lucas Ponthieux and siblings, Albert Douglas, Kenneth Douglas, Francis Douglas, Arthur Douglas, Roy Douglas, Charles Douglas, May Douglas, Isabel Douglas, Jane Douglas Spencer, Lillie Doll Douglas Gilmer and Myrtle Douglas.
Bulah's legacy of love and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. May she rest in peace, reunited in Heaven with those who have gone before her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Parkin on Thursday, July 3rd with visitation at 12:00 p.m. and the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne.
Mrs. Beulah was a very sweet lady! I remember her from going to church at First Assembly of God in Parkin where we went also! My prayers are with her family! I remember going to Parkin to visit my mother (Ruby Wood) & she would be on her front porch just a swinging as I went around the curve!
Rest in peace sweet great Aunt .You will truly be missed especially round Parkin Ark .Give my mom and Aunt Treni a big hug .God bless all your family .

Aunt Beulah- so special to Mother, Nonnie, Mary Jo and me! She always came to Aunt Leafy's to see us when we were home for visits! Have so many wonderful pictures of her laughing with us at birthday parties or just visiting!! So thankful that she knew Jesus, her Lord and Savior! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻Several years ago, Mary Jo and I stopped by to see her and were blessed to pray with receive Jesus as her LORD and Savior! We will be with her again! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
