Vernon Wayne Lankford, 75, of Bee Branch, Arkansas was born on September 7, 1949 in Bee Branch to the late Vernon and Louise (McKim) Lankford and passed from this life on June 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He spent most of his life as a skilled carpenter; however, he spent the last decade of his working years manufacturing and delivering bumper cars. Wayne was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be terribly missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry Joe Lankford, Johnny Lankford and an infant son, Kenneth Wayne Lankford.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of almost 55 years, Mattie Ann (Bowlin) Lankford; three children, Angela Campbell (Harold), Kimberly Morin (Tim), Steven Lankford (Suzanne); seven grandchildren, Trisha, Katrina (Eric), Christian, Michala, Abigail (Brad), Adalia, Alli; seven great-grandchildren; six siblings, Roger Lankford (Gail), Karen Becker (Richard), Jackie Lankford, Dwight Lankford (Donna), Therman Lankford (Cindy), Regina Iburg (Larry); other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Blackwell Cemetery in Bee Branch. Pastor Michael Roberson will officiate.
