March 6, 1941 - June 27, 2025

Patricia Lynn Simpson, known as Toots passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at the St Bernards Medical Center. She was born on March 6, 1941, in Greenbriar, AR to Benjamin and Jewelle (Strickland) Stacks. Toots had many talents and used them as her work, Seamstress, Cake Decorator, Teacher's Aide, and Catering. She wore many hats. One of her favorite hobbies were flower gardening, sewing, embroidery, and many crafts. Toots was also an avid Razorback and St Louis Cardinal fan. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and loved her Sunday school class.

Toots ''The Cake Lady' was loved by all who knew her. She made many, many cakes for 2 to 3 generations of family. She was always doing it for others because being selfless was what made her happy. Her happiest times, though, were following her children and grandchildren to as many sporting events and activities as she could manage and getting a ride too. She was everyone's biggest fan.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Joe Simpson; son Gary Joe Simpson; brothers, Jim Stacks, Ben Stacks and Bill Stacks; sisters, Nesta Jean Tucker, Barbara Bryan and Debbie Reeves.

Those left to cherish her loving memory, son, Greg (Traci) Simpson; daughter, Melissa (Chris) Parks; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joey) Luker, Brandon (Britany) Poynor, Ryan (Anna) Simpson, Patrick (Marissa) Poynor, Jordan ( Travis) Simpson, Emily (Cody) Fortner, and a bonus grandson, Adam (Ashley) Parks; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Ken Stacks; sister, Donna Grisham and a host of nieces and nephews, that she loved like her own.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 2, 2025, 10:00am, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave, Jonesboro, with Grey Falanga officiating. The burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
