Danny Wallace Casto, age 68, of Tilly, Arkansas passed from this earthly life on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 at his home. He was born in Clinton, Arkansas on April 15th, 1957 to Hurland ''Tom'' Casto and Reba Garner Casto. Danny married Lana Taylor on January 19th, 1981 in Hugo, Oklahoma.
Danny was raised in Chimes, Arkansas and graduated from Witts Springs High School in 1975. He went to work at Flintrock Shirt Factory right out of high school. In 1976 he began the boilermaker apprenticeship program and after completing the program he became a member of the Boilermakers Local 69 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Danny began his career as a rigger and welder then moved up to foreman, general foreman and supervisor. He worked for APComPower and finished his career at John Turk Power Plant. After 36 years as a boilermaker, he retired in 2012. He was a member of the Witts Springs Masonic Lodge 603. Danny loved his retirement life and enjoyed the time spent with his wife, Lana. Danny especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his farm. He was a great cook and loved to have family and friends over for a meal and get-togethers at his ''Saloon''. Danny loved to aggravate, joke and have a good time. His strong presence and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Lana Taylor Casto of the home; two sons, Daniel Casto and wife, Amanda of Tilly and Dylan Casto and wife, Stephanie of Russellville; his mother, Reba Casto Smith of Marshall; grandchildren, Jacob Casto of Tilly, Brent Casto (Arabella) of Tilly, Matthew Casto of Russellville and Maci Casto of Russellville; one great-grandson, Jaxsten Casto of Tilly; brothers, Verlan Casto (Donna) of Chimes an Shawn Casto (Jeannie) also of Chimes and several nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends who will also mourn his passing.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, Tom Casto.
Graveside memorial services for Danny will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 28th, 2025 at Union Hill Cemetery near Tilly with Bro. Bob Harmon and Russell Fountain officiating. Danny will be laid to rest with Masonic Honors. Bearers will be Randall Housley and Lynn Muncy. Honorary bearers will be Milburn Small, Sam Warren, Terry Babbin, Brent Beck, Rodney Hollingsworth and The Boilermakers Local #69.

I always looked forward to attending the Saturday night get togethers with Danny & Lana's good cooking at their
Saloon, when I came back to our cabin at Trace Ridge. He had such a big laugh, smile & always so welcoming. Danny & I have cousins in common & he always treated me like family. He will absolutely be missed by his sweet family and many friends.

Danny has been a good neighbor and friend to many and he will be missed and he will be missed in Tilly. He had a great since of humor and you could not keep a straight face when he was telling a tale to someone . He had a lot of Tom Casto in him .and we will remember those tales and Danny has been a good neighbor and friend and he and Lana I will never forget .
