Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda, with whom he shared 62 wonderful years together. He leaves behind two daughters, Dena Ammons (Rob), Tena Reynolds; a grandson, Travis Ammons; a granddaughter, Annie Reynolds and a great-granddaughter, Nyla Rose Reynolds. He leaves behind one brother, Paul Joiner (Mary) and four sisters, Linda Joiner, Pat Joiner, Sandra Joiner, Barbara Kirkpatrick (Clifford); two brothers-in-laws, Gary Miller (Sue Ann), James Franklin Miller (Jonell) and two sister-in-laws, Helen Mathes (Allan), Pat Freeman and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Oran Joiner Junior; his mother, Chlodine Joiner and his father, Oran Joiner Senior.
He loved all the years of working on the railroad and was still seen years after retiring working derailments and teaching all his family about ''proper train track etiquette''. He loved Western movies and piddling in the shed or around the house. He loved to aggravate people but that was secretly just how you knew he cared about you. He loved his kids and grandkids and his great grand-baby. You could find him crawling around on the floor or pushing her around in his walker until the last few weeks before he passed. If you saw Bill you saw Brenda and he pretty much just loved whatever she loved. He loved their house in Florida and if you asked him for a boat ride to see alligators, he'd pull you up so close you could pet it. He could always be seen drinking an ice cold Coca-Cola and eating a Bologna sandwich. He will be greatly missed.
Bill asked in lieu of flowers, for donations to the Alzheimer's Association in his name.
He was my friend who I always called old dad. We always swapped stories and enjoyed a Coca Cola together. Looking forward to seeing you again one day.

I had the privilege of being Mrs Brendas RN while she was on dialysis. She always told me I was "family". My heart aches for her wonderful family, but rejoices knowing she is in Heaven and healed. She and Grandpoppy( we called him) are together again and both are healed and happy. I loved them both as my family and they are greatly missed.
So sorry to hear this about Brenda and Bill. They will always be a part of our Turtle Cove family in Okeechobee. Our prayers and thoughts to their families.
Lifting the family up in prayer.
Neighbors in Florida with Bill and Brenda for many years, they will be missed down here. Sympathy, love and prayers for the family.
I will miss both Bill and Brenda. They were my neighbors in Florida. Bill always like to joke around with me and made me laugh.
I didn't know him or his wife, but I saw where they passed away so close together. This had to be devastating to their family. My parents passed away 3 months apart after 62 years together. I just wanted to let their family know that I was deeply sorry for their loss. Prayers. I hope you can find peace knowing they are together again.
