I was so shocked to hear the news about Mr. Sherrald. He was a strong pillar in Second Baptist, his faith and love for the Lord evident in his life. We were out of town the day of his funeral but my heart was with you, Mrs. Kitty, and Jay, Jill, Danny and Kelly, and families. You are all in my prayers. Psalm 30:11-12
Danny, deepest condolences from me and Mother. Peace be with you. And your family.
I'm so sorry for your family's loss Kitty!! I remember Danny and Shane being friends growing up together. Prays for your family.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I'll always remember Sherrald's smile. He always had time to stop and visit. Our community has lost a very special person. I feel lucky that I had the pleasure of knowing him. May the love of family and the support of friends help you through the journey ahead.
Sherrald was a faithful Christian man at home, church, and work. Kitty and he sat behind us in church for as long as I can remember. Their marriage was an example to all of us younger folks. The strong faith of their adult children bears witness to Sherrald's spiritual leadership in the home. Sherrald was a kind man who exhibited real Christian love. I can still hear his voice and see that smile. Joni and I are praying for all the Jones' as you grieve, knowing that the separation is only temporary.
I played many independent basketball games with and against Sherrald, he was a great basketball player and a very fine man.
The Days offer Jay and the Jones Family our sincere condolences
