of Conway, AR
October 16, 1961 - June 16, 2025
David Bryan Darling, age 63, passed away peacefully early morning June 16th, 2025. Born on October 16th, 1961, in Columbus, Mississippi.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, sharing stories over a good dinner & drinks, walking the fairways of his favorite golf course. Golf was more than a hobby; it was a way he connected with friends, challenged himself, and enjoyed the outdoors with his older brother, Bob.
He is survived by his wife, Leah Darling, his beloved daughter, Kathryn Darling Bryant. His stepson's Stewart & Mitchell Tice. His brother, Bob Darling. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Lee Darling of Little Rock, Arkansas and his mother Barbara Ann Petriscak of Conway, Arkansas. David's early life was deeply shaped by his Episcopal faith, which guided his values and gave him peace. A faithful member of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Conway.
In his later years, David bravely faced the challenges of dementia with quiet resilience. Though the disease affected his memory, it never dimmed his spirit, or the deep connection he held for those he loved most.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) In Honor of David and all those affected by this disease.
Services will be announced at a later date.
So, so sorry to hear this. I first met David at Centennial. He played golf with his brother, Bob, and he was such a joy to be around; always had a smile on his face and I looked forward to his wit. Conversations were so fun with David. Prayers for the family.
Leah
