Bobby Lee Watson Sr., 62, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2025. He was born October 31, 1962, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Willie Watson and Dorothy Linsy Watson.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Willie E. Watson, Gloria Brien and his favorite dog, Cecil.
Bobby accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He graduated from Wilbur D. Mills High School in 1981. He attended the University of Central Arkansas and graduated with an associate's degree in social work in 1983. During his time at UCA, he became a member of the Beta Delta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He then went on to serve in the United States Army Reserve for 4 years. His professional journey led him to finding his passion in rehabilitating and mentoring at-risk youth from marginalized communities. He dedicated his life to acting as a faithful servant for the Lord, a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed family vacations, fishing, working, and watching Perry Mason, Matlock and Law & Order.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Melanie Watson; his children, Bobby L. Watson Jr. (Tamarah), Shannon Washington, Tommy Woodard, Caitlin Straw, Chandler Padgett, and Kendall Watson, one grandson, and his siblings; Rosie Giles, Beatrice Kimble, Christer L. Wilson, Rozetta (Frank) Harper, Bertha Lowe, Danny Linsy Sr., Eddie Watson (Carol), TaLuana Watson, and Corey Watson; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will be a visitation on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 6:00-8:00pm at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Higgins, in Higgins, Arkansas.
