Cecil M. Vowell, Jr., 63, of Broken Arrow, OK., passed away May 14, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 7, 1961, in Rockford, IL, the tenth child born to Cecil M. Vowell Sr., and Virginia Goodman Vowell. Cecil proudly served in the United States Marine Corps where he was a heavy equipment operator. He had several deployments, including Embassy duty in Beirut Lebanon. Cecil was machinist, he programed and operated CNC machines.


Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Timothy Vowell; sisters, Kimberlee Vowell Zimmerlee and JoAnn Rivera.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kimberlyn Vowell, of Tulsa, OK; seven brothers, Michael Vowell of Freeport, IL, Jack Vowell of Paragould, AR, Robert Vowell and William Vowell of Memphis, TN, Harvey Vowell of Lincoln, AR, Andrew Vowell of Springdale, AR, Jonathan Vowell of West Fork, AR; five sisters, Patricia Jones of Lowell, AR, Lynda Bolin of Lilesville, NC, Brenda Vowell of Black Rock, AR, Jessica Metzgar of Elgin, IL, and Thressa Vowell of Elgin, Il; twenty six nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, 10:00 am, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave, Jonesboro, AR.
