John Lee Bowie, 93, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, June 3, 2025. He was born on May 9, 1932 in Enola, Arkansas to Elihue Benjamin Bowie and Eva Matthews Bowie. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Shirley Ann Bowie; 2 sisters, Lea Breazeale, Ouida Peters and one brother, Jack Bowie.
John was a farmer and inventor and most of all, a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa.
John is survived by one daughter, Teresa Ann McNinch (Randell) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; one son, James Lee Bowie (Deborah) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Kim Madsen, Crystal Guthrie, Angela McNinch, Chad Bowie, Kim Pruitt, Austin Bowie; fifteen great grandchildren, Hannah Young, Autumn Madsen, Serenity Maxwell, Mackenzie Stroh, Tinley Guthrie, Abby Madsen, Jaelyn Pruitt, Campbell Madson, Dane Stroh, Keegan Bowie, John Denton Stroh, Maddie Stroh, Owen Bowie, Molly Stroh and Blakeley Bowie and many other friends and relatives.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 19th at the Cadron Valley Cemetery @ 11am followed by the Celebration of Life to be held at the Bowie Farm (323 Happy Valley Road, Greenbrier, Arkansas). Online guestbook available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/conway
John was such a kind man with a giant heart. He was always there for my parents and our family throughout the years. I am so sorry.
