of Hot Springs, AR
April 8, 1971 - June 6, 2025
Vallie Jo (Peake) Wilkerson, 54, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on Friday June 6, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born and raised in Hot Springs. Vallie was a bright and driven student, graduating as valedictorian of Lakeside High School in 1989. Her academic excellence and beautiful voice earned her scholarships to Nation Park College and Henderson State University, where she received her teaching degree before continuing to pursue a law degree at William H. Bowen School of Law. A brilliant attorney, Val combined intellect and heart in everything she did.
Those who knew Val will remember her as a real-life Elle Woods - sharp, stylish and spirited. With her pink flare and bubbly blonde energy, she brought light and laughter to every room she entered. Val had a passion for life's simple joys: weekend yard sales, a good scary movie, scrapbooking, cooking for the people she loved and enjoying her favorite Taco Pronto meal. But more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, devoted daughter, loyal sister, adoring ''Gigi'' and beloved friend.
She is survived by her dad, Glen Peake; her three children, Nick (Morgan) Wilkerson, Jessica (Tucker) Moix, Josh (Maria) Wilkerson and four cherished grandchildren, Blakely and Tatum Moix, Timber and Ridge Wilkerson. She also leaves behind her sisters, Kimberly (Bob) Pymn, Kristi (Michael) Blades, Courtney Peake, Glenda and honorary sister/best friend, Marika Pickens Neeve, her loyal fur baby Rowdy and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Val was preceded in death by her mom, Judy Peake. We find peace knowing she was the first to meet her at Heaven's Gates.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 2:00PM with a Visitation one hour prior. Burial will be private.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are also full of gratitude for your love and legacy we will carry with us in every story we tell, every goal we chase and every memory we hold dear.
In her spirit, wear a pop of pink and share a story that makes you smile.

Aunt Vallie was a beautiful soul who always had on the most bling and color she could. Since I was a little girl I had looked up to her for her accomplishments in school, and strived to become an attorney like her one day. When my family and I had flown down for my late uncles funeral, we were able to spend some of Vallie's last moments together. She had gifted me a law dictionary pocketbook to brush up on the language that is law. When we opened it up, pink glitter busted out of the pages. Truly reminding us of the authentic and sparkly woman that was my aunt Vallie.
Too young to pass. Heaven has gained an Angel. Love you cousin
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Val touched so many hearts during her life. She will be missed.
We don't live close, so spending aunt Vallie's last days with her was extra special. She had such a big heart with buying me and my family Christmas gifts or getting us our favorite snacks while we stayed with her. She took me and my sister thrift shopping, an activity we enjoyed sharing together. Her kind soul will be deeply missed, but I find comfort in knowing she's reunited with grandma and uncle Billy in heaven.
I have so many fond memories of Val, and our summers back in Arkansas. I'm so thankful that Butch and I got to go back and see her and most of the family last year. My heart is breaking for all of you. I'm sad that I can't be there to celebrate her life, but know that we are there with you in spirit, and keeping all of you in our prayers. We love you. Barbara, Butch and family.
