Albert Denver Reed, 92, of Marion, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2025.
Born on September 12, 1932 in Brinkley, Arkansas, Denver lived a long and devoted life rooted in service, family and faith. He graduated from West Memphis High School in 1952 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956, including active duty during the Korean War.
After returning home, Denver married the love of his life, Elizabeth Anne Reed, on November 17, 1956. Their marriage was a testament to love and partnership and together they raised one daughter, Lesa Reed Palmer of West Memphis.
Denver dedicated his professional life to helping others and improving his community. He worked as an engineering technician for the Soil Conservation Service in Harrisburg and Forrest City, Arkansas before retiring and continuing his service with the Crittenden County Sheriff's Office as a deputy process server. His commitment to public service extended further as a founding member of the Crittenden County Search and Rescue, where his care for the community he loved was evident in all he did.
A man of faith, Denver was a longtime member of the Avondale Missionary Baptist Church, where he found strength and purpose in his relationship with God and his church family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; his beloved wife, Anne and one great-grandson. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lesa Palmer; his grandchildren, Justin Palmer and Amanda Todd (Stephen); six great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. A private family burial will follow.
Albert Denver Reed will be remembered for his integrity, kindness, steadfast service and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.

Denver was such a sweet soul. He loved his law enforcement family with all his heart. You could always count on him to be involved from directing traffic to spotting marijuana plants from the helicopter. He loved his job and his job loved him. RIP, my dear friend.
Denver will be missed. I enjoyed working with him on the Hillbilly Hoedown. He truly loved playing Lavern. He always had a smile and upbeat personality.
Always enjoyed his company. Never a dull moment God's speed Denver.
Denver was a good friend and he will truly be missed. My prayers goes out to his family.

Denver was one of the nicest people that you would ever meet! Always kind, polite, and very pleasant to talk to! We have lost a very good person, but he's joining Ann.
I sure did love Denver...one of the nicest folks you would ever want to meet! We enjoyed fun times acting (haha) in the annual Hillbilly Hoedown at the Civic Center...what a hoot he was. Such a nice man.
Praying for the family. He will be missed by those who know him. I remember crossing paths with him a couple of times grocery shopping and he was great gentlemen to have knowledgeable talks with. Bless you family and friends.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Reeds passing. I met him many years ago when I first moved to Marion. He was always so nice and friendly. My condolences to his family.

I have known Denver for over 30 years. I met him when my late husband was in Search and Rescue. I will miss having coffee with him and keeping us entertained. RIP Denver, you will be missed.
