Harold ''Butch'' Sargent, 80, of New Blaine, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Paris.

Harold was born on February 5, 1945, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to his parents, Harold W. Sargent, Sr. and Ruth Madeline (Besaw) Sargent. He worked as a carpenter, building and framing houses throughout the local area. He had a degree in para-legal and a degree in art. He loved being outside in nature, hunting deer, taking family and friends on a hike, carving animals or a walking stick out of wood and making pieces of furniture.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sons, Kris and Kevin Sargent, a grandson, Darrell Brunet; two sisters, Ruth Quisty and Diane Atkinson.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Joy (Musgrave) Sargent of the home; one daughter, Amanda Sargent and husband, Allen Gauthier of New Blaine, Arkansas; a son, Darrell Sargent and wife, Sunni of Tyler, Texas; a brother, Ted Sargent and wife, Florence of Peru, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Cremation services and arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
