of Benton, AR
February 3, 1962 - June 3, 2025
James Randall "Randy" Beck, 63, of Saline County, Arkansas passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025. He was born on February 3, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late James Conrad Beck and Virginia Ann Lero Beck Rhea who recently passed away, leaving a void in Randy's life.
Randy was a devoted country boy his entire life and remained steadfast in his faith and beliefs. His spiritual convictions provided struggles throughout his journey. Though the struggles in life did not change how big Randy's heart was to others or his enjoyment of God's land and water.
Following in his father's footsteps, Randy at a young age worked as a painter and continued the family business, Beck Painting, with dedication and craftsmanship till 2024. He was known for his unwavering commitment to completing every job with excellence, even when facing personal challenges. He mastered finishing wood cabinets in new and old homes and was well known for beautiful results. Randy remained a beloved and active member of the "old boy's painting and construction crew" of Saline County long after his working days had ended, maintaining the bonds of friendship and camaraderie that meant so much to him.
In his leisure time, Randy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, camping and gardening and shared a special bond with his faithful dogs. He firmly believed that the land was a precious gift from God and his deep love of Arkansas's natural beauty was a reflection of his enduring faith. Randy especially treasured quiet evenings spent outdoors beside a fire, listening to the timeless country music of Hank Williams and other classic artists of that era. He could grow some of the biggest tomatoes and was known for sharing all the produce he would grow every year.
Randy is survived by his brother, John Matthew "Matt" Beck. Randy and his former wife, Cathy Beck O'Neal, shared one daughter, Cassie Lashae Beck Farr, who is married to Dustin Farr of Prattville, AR. Randy was the cherished grandfather of four granddaughters, Elizabeth LeighAnn Farr, Shyann Lashae Farr, Jazmine Grace Farr and Kaitlyn Alexis Farr Heard (married to Lane Heard). Many special friends, James and Shari Rea have truly helped and stood by him in the last few years, Co-workers, employees, Builders and many more.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Truman and Genie Beck; his special Uncle, Jerry Beck and most significantly, his beloved sister, Regina Beck, who passed away at the tender age of 16, a loss that Randy carried in his heart throughout his entire life; parents, James Conrad Beck and Virginia Ann Lero Beck Rhea. Some of Randy's most treasured memories were of playing cards with "Grandpa Truman and Nana and Uncle Jerry," moments that brought him lifelong joy and comfort.
Randy's life was marked by both struggle and beauty, hardship and faith. Though he faced personal battles, he never lost his love for family, his connection to the Arkansas foothills he called home or his trust in God's plan. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his loyalty to friends, his devotion to family and his appreciation for the simple, meaningful moments that make life precious. In his final hours, he expressed his desire to be with ''Momma and Regina''.
Randy has expressed to many people that he wants to be at his home with his dogs. He requested to not have a funeral. We will have a celebration of his life at his house on HWY 35, Sunday, June 15, 2025 Fathers Day at 2pm. Eat, look at pictures, listen to music, plant a tree or flower and tell all our favorite stories of Randy. The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, kind words and memories shared of Randy. Please deliver plants and flowers to the residence.
