M. David Peters, 79, of Conway passed away peacefully in his home on May 24, 2025. He was born April 11, 1946 in Conway, Arkansas to Charles David Peters and Marian Sue (Higgs) Peters. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Peters and special mother-in-law, Betty Jane Hoover Young.
David attended The First Presbyterian Church of Conway. He spent some early elementary school years in Crane, Texas. He graduated from Conway High School in 1964 and attended Arkansas State Teachers College- now UCA, for two years.
David worked in construction for a few years before he went to work at Dean Foods in Conway. After Deans closed, he got a job with Gold Star Dairy in Little Rock which was later bought out by Coleman/Hiland Dairy.
He was a great salesman spending over 30 years in the milk business.
David loved spending time playing golf with a great group of friends who loved to tell that David would say ''I might not be the best golfer, but I sure dress the part''.
David is survived by his wife of 59 years, Emily Ann (Young) Peters; his daughter, Leslie Ann ''His Chop'' Hardiman (Earl); three grandchildren, Rich Walls (Lacie), Lindsie Walls, Austin Hardiman (Cassie) and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Peters (Tammy) and many other friends and relatives.
Honorary pallbearers are Milburn Adams, Garry Glover, Curtis Gober, Jerry Grable, Ronnie Jones, Danny Reed, Fayburn Riggins, John Rose and Glenn Stacks.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 27, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday May 28, 2025 at 2:00pm from the Chapel at Roller-McNutt, with Pastor Mike Ulasewich officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.

I didn't know Mr. Peters personally, but spent years listening to stories of him sitting at a ballfield with Leslie. She brought him to life for all of us talking about him. I know he loved her unconditionally. No one could sit with her for more than a few minutes and not know how much she loved him back. I am so sorry for your loss!
