Maxine McIntosh, age 81, of Mabelvale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She was born on May 26, 1943, in Marshall, Arkansas, to Doss Horton and Floy Alma Young Horton. Maxine was of the Pentecostal faith and lived her life grounded in strong spiritual beliefs. She had a vibrant and caring spirit, which she shared with family, friends, and the many clients she served as a dedicated hairdresser.
Maxine owned and operated Jim's Salon for many years, where she formed lasting friendships and was known for her warm personality and skilled hands. She found joy in her work, reading romance novels, studying her Bible, watching Walker Texas Ranger and most of all, spending cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She married Robert McIntosh, on January 1, 1973. He preceded her in death, along with her parents, a brother, and two sisters.
She is lovingly survived by her three daughters: Patty Murphy (Bryan) of Hot Springs Village, Kelly Harper (Chris) of Perryville, and Brenda Hubble of Mabelvale; nine grandchildren; and many great grandchildren who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Roller-Drummond Funeral Home.
I loved Mrs Maxine so much I remember me n Kelley always going over there to eat n visit her . She was a jewel n a sweetheart my God direct her path in his present now .my prayers are with all of yall .love all of yall so much am here for yall n Kelley am here reach out please
