Byron S. Paxton, 72, of Jonesboro passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 22, 1952 in Walnut Ridge to Farris and Velda Paxton. Byron was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. He was a butcher and factory worker before his retirement. Byron was a gun and knife collector, enjoyed classic trucks but his biggest pleasure and pastime was his family and being with his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Farris, Velda and Nancy Paxton; brother, Charles Paxton and sister, Mary Tennison.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Lee Ann of the home; son, Mark Paxton (Brittany) of Jonesboro; daughter, Ashley Estes (Jeff) of Brookland; grandchildren, Lance Paxton and Tinley Paxton; sisters, Phyllis Jones (Ken) and Adele Holmes (Chris); sister-in-law, Debbie Paxton and brother-in-law, Roger Tennison.
A graveside service will be Thursday, May 22, 2025 at10:30 am at Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Mike Book officiating.
The pallbearers will be Ronnie Reeves, Joe Sullins, Josh Sparrow, Cody Trosper, Ben Davidson and Josh Childers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
