of Fox, AR
January 19, 1949 - May 17, 2025
Liz Stewart, 76, of Fox, Arkansas passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on May 17, 2025 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born to Arvilla and Juanita Kelley on January 19, 1949 in Marshall, Arkansas.
Liz married the love of her life, Rudy, July 8, 1966 and enjoyed 59 wonderful years together. Through this union came two sons, Jeff and Kevin, whom were the light of her life. Rooted in the Baptist faith, she lived guided by her devotion to her faith, unwavering love for her family and a deep commitment to serving others.
A true matriarch, Liz was the heart of her family. Her greatest joy came from caring for her loved ones and supporting her grandchildren. Liz's grandchildren were her pride and joy. Liz was always ready with a life lesson, a helping hand or a word of encouragement. Her home was a reflection of her; neat, warm and welcoming.
Though small in stature, Liz was mighty in spirit; feisty, outspoken and determined. She could hold her own and often outwork many, never shying away from hard work or a challenge. Her strength and perseverance were admired by all who knew her.
Liz found joy in the simple things; listening to classic country and gospel music and working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Over the years, she was a farmer, while also working at Blanchard Shirt Factory and then was Head of Housekeeping for 20 years at Pinewood Cabins and spent many years volunteering for The Dorcas House.
She is survived by her Husband, Rudy Stewart; two sons, Jeff (Debbie) Stewart and Kevin (Brandy) Stewart; three grandchildren, Justin Stewart, Dakota Stewart and Jorja Stewart; four brothers, Fred Kelley, Junior (Elaine) Kelley, Jack (Judy) Kelley and one sister, Freda Snow.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 2:00PM at Roller Coffman Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Junior Barham officiating.
