Helen F. Copen, 93, of Paragould, AR passed away Monday, May 19, 2025. She was born on November 13, 1931 in Nashville, TN to Robert Clyde and Sarah Selma McGill. Helen proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Brookland Church of Christ. After retiring from a career as a cosmetologist, Helen operated an in-home childcare business and was a homemaker, an outstanding Mother and a beloved wife to Ken for 65 years. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. The best way to describe Mom, is ''She was always there for us''. In her spare time, you could always find her with a book in her hand. Lately, she has been very dedicated to reading her Bible.
Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert ''Bob'' McGill and David Alsup.
Those left to cherish the memory of Helen are her husband of 65 years, Charles ''Ken'' Copen Jr.; sons, Kenny Copen (Shonda); daughter, Cathy Moore (Bill); grandchildren, Kinley Copen, Richard Griffith (Jessi), Brian Griffith (Jessica), Ashley Moore, Gregory Moore (Rachel); great-grandchildren, Cove, Bridges, Lennon, Lilah, Rhythm, Cybyn, Kairos, Nyamae; her sister, Judy Garner and her Babygirl Rascal.
A graveside will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 3600 Hwy 163, Birdeye, AR starting at 1:00pm with Jeff Heitman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials can be made to Brookland Church of Christ.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave, Jonesboro, AR.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I never had the opportunity to meet her, but I feel like I know at least a part of her through working with Cathy. May God bless this family through these hard times.
