James L. Hice, 85, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 peacefully at his home.
James was born on June 12, 1939 in Paris, Arkansas to his parents, Muriel and Mildred (Milligan) Hice.
James married the love of his life, Jerry Ann (Green) Hice on May 28, 1960. Together they enjoyed 64 ½ years of marriage.
James worked at the Paris Charcoal Plant for 41 years. He pastured The House of Prayer Church until his death. He enjoyed playing his guitar, writing songs and singing for the Lord. He loved being with his family, and helping others. James was known as a diligent and faithful servant of God. He will be deeply missed by a host of friends and family.
James is survived by his loving wife, Jerry Ann of Paris; four daughters, Lesa Criswell and husband J.R. of Mt. Ida, Debbie Toon and husband Ricky of Lavaca, Laura Jones of Fort Smith and Kathie Goff of Booneville; two sisters, Patsy Nichols of Ratcliff and Mary Smith of Fort Smith; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Muriel and Mildred Hice; one sister, Ila Faye Phillips; one brother, Johnny Ray Hice and two sons in law, Brad Goff and Paul Jones.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. Larry Moore and Bro. Don Ritchie. Burial will follow in McVay Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Hice, Brian Hice, Kris Weible, Tobey King, J.R. Criswell and Andrew Jones.
