Mr. Kenneth Wesley Lawson, 74, of Rose Bud, formerly of Benton, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Little Rock. He was born November 20, 1950 in Borger, Texas to Billy Lawson and Ruth Teakell Lawson.
Kenneth was a devoted family man and a lifelong member of the Baptist faith. He had a deep passion for the simple joys of life, including hunting, gardening, fishing and spending time with his loved ones. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, often enjoying games with his family. His love for solitude led him to many hours spent playing Solitaire, a pastime he cherished in his quiet moments. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Ruth Lawson; his brother, Rickey Lawson and two sisters, Sharlot Lawson and Mary Hill.
Kenneth leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Narrie Bolt Lawson of the home; three sons, Chris Lawson and his wife, Anita of McCloud, Texas, Wesley Lawson and his wife, Julie of Social Hill and James Lawson and his wife, Alicia of Rose Bud. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Cody, Clay, Tyler, Emily Jacobs, Kylie, Courtney, Ashley and Jessica Lawson. He also leaves behind his beloved great-grandchild, Bella-Rose Jacobs. Additional survivors include his brother, Thomas Lawson of Texas; his half-sister, Teresa Krycaniak of Colorado; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Peeler Bend Cemetery in Benton with Bro. Danny Wilkerson officiating. A visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 6:00-7:00 PM at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home in Benton.
