July 19, 1932 - May 6, 2025
On May 6, 2025, Anna Mae Reynolds, ''Granny'' to all those who love her, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born July 19, 1932, in Capps, Arkansas, the daughter of Clive O. Wilson and Erbie (Robinson) Wilkes. Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Cleo; her son, Gary Reynolds; her sisters, Imogene and Zella and her great-grandson, Aiden Carter.
Anna Mae attended the Assembly of God Church. She started her nursing career as an aide, then continued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. From there, she persisted on to become a Registered Nurse. Geriatrics was the field of choice. She cared for the elderly and retained her nursing license until the age of 80. She inspired many to enter the field of nursing. She was passionate about the Razorbacks, the St. Louis Cardinals, hummingbirds, and the color of Blue. She began our family tradition of ''Granny Coffee'' with her kids, onto grandkids, to the great-kids, and beyond. Granny always had a stick of gum in her purse for the Grand Kids.
Granny was always ready to prepare a meal and offer succour to her family in times of need. She will be missed by her family and all those who knew her.
A young Anna Mae married Thomas Reynolds, then mothered and raised four children. Regina Jenning and spouse Dave, Judy Jean, and Robert Reynolds. Granny loved and helped nurture five grandchildren, Sean Adams, Jeff Adams, Randy Savage, Ty Savage and Sissy Savage. Granny was blessed with 17 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Jaxon, Landon, Jackson, Jacob, Legend, Aiden, Catelyn, Kaisen, Nicholas, Jacob, Grace, Savannah, Abby, Lucas, Emma, and Alyssa.
Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, May 15, 2025, 5-7:00PM, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home Chapel.
