September 17, 1954 - May 12, 2025
Dusty Lane Griffith, 70, was born on September 17, 1954 in Orange, Texas. He entered Heaven on May 12, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas while surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen (Hale) Griffith; two sons and one daughter, Brad Griffith (Bri Woods), Chad Griffith (Melissa Raby) and Jamey Nesbitt; grandchildren, Dusty Grace Nesbitt and Rocky Nesbitt; one sister, Sharon Griffith and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in his passing by his parents, George and Mary Kathryn (Drost) Griffith and siblings, Rocky Griffith and Dixie Balentine.
Dusty worked at Pepsi for many years and retired from Farmer Brothers Coffee. Dusty was a member of Vine Avenue Baptist Church. His greatest joy was his family and traveling with them. He loved to travel in the RV of his dreams anywhere he could. He could never stay in one place for too long and had already planned his next RV adventure. His Australian Shepherd and constant best friend, Sadie, will miss him dearly. Dusty was kind, funny, beautiful and truly the best man his family has ever known. His family would choose him to be their husband, Dad and Papa in every lifetime.
Pallbearers are Rocky Nesbitt, Ben Paternostro, J.R. Kendrick, Che Posada, Lane Roubique and Michael Patrick.
Honorary pallbearers are his beloved nieces.
Dusty's family members are honored to have known him and will love him eternally. They know he is fully healed in Heaven.
Dusty's family would like to extend their gratitude to the entire pulmonary and critical care teams at St. Vincent's Infirmary for their endless care and compassion. In particular, they would like to thank Dr. Yevgeniy Apostolov, who loved Dusty's family like they were his own and provided Dusty with the highest level of care from the moment he arrived. Every team member from St. Vincent's Infirmary was truly Heaven-sent.
