of Searcy, AR
March 26, 1952 - May 9, 2025
Robert E ''Bob'' Roberts left his home in Searcy, Arkansas to go be with his Lord and Savior on May 9th, 2025. He was born to Virginia Laura Campbell and Hubert Muriel Roberts of Louisiana, Missouri on March 26th, 1952.
Bob retired from Searcy public schools where he served as a maintenance technician for many years, but his main career involved spreading the word of God to as many people as he could. Bob loved nothing more than to know he led a wanderer to the arms of Christ and enjoyed speaking the Word of God to anyone that would listen. Bob has guest preached at numerous different churches around Arkansas for decades and pastored at Crosby Baptist Church for several years. Bob also ran several disaster relief crews helping those in need after natural disasters. He has volunteered during major disasters which include multiple tornado disasters in Arkansas and surrounding states but also volunteered after the tragedy of the attack on the World Trade Center and also after the catastrophic disaster, Hurricane Katrina. He would run feeding units, rescue teams and assist in rebuilding efforts all while spreading the word of the Good Lord to everyone he would meet. In his most recent years Bob worked security at camp Siloam in Siloam Springs, Arkansas where he simply kept the peace at the camp during the summertime and every once in a while, had to shut down a late-night cabin get together. Just being there in the presence of the Lord, in a camp full of younger kids giving their life to Christ, made his entire summer.
Bob's happy-go-lucky and hard-working attitude has impacted on the lives of so many different people. You hardly ever saw him mad or upset. Everyone that has met him, whether they liked him or not, can say he at least put a smile on their face. Bob's testimony and his love for the Lord always gave reassurance that we will indeed see him again one day when we enter the gates of heaven. He wanted nothing more than to save more people every day simply by spreading the Word. When Bob was not volunteering you could find him doing his favorite hobbies such as spending time with his family and being a handyman to anyone that needed him. Bob was the type of man that it did not matter what time of day it was or what he had going on at the moment, he would lend a hand in a split second whether it was a small electrical fix or water leak or just a prayer request over the phone.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Laura Campbell and Hubert Muriel Roberts; his sister, Donna Ashwood and his two brothers, Larry Roberts and Hubert Roberts.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Tammy Robbins (Dathan); his granddaughter, Jacqueline Bradley; his grandsons, Addison Bradley (Erica) and Dillon Robbins (Kaitlynn); his great grandchildren, Casen Bradley, Caelynn Gross and Cacheton Bradley; his special friend, Karla Arendall; his sisters, Carol Moran and Judy (Steve) Columbo; his brothers, Rusty (Sundy) Roberts and Richard Roberts; as well as numerous amounts of nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends.

RIP Robert
I sure am saddened to see this, but I know Bob is where he knew he was going. I remember when Bob moved to Searcy from California back in the mid 80s and started attending the same church. I spent many days and just time with him and Jan as a teenager at their home. They both treated me like their own and I learned a lot of life lessons from them. He and I coach some girls softball together and he was so patient and gentle with everyone. I will definitely cherish those memories and know that his race is won and he has served his purpose here on earth. I will be praying for the days ahead for his family as they find strength and comfort. Rest easy my friend and see you later!
Uncle Bob was such a a great man. He would pray with me and my mom (Carol Moran) in times of need. I didn't see him much but when I did it was always the same feeling. He was like my Grandma and got his good heart from her. He will forever be missed. Love you Uncle Bob. Dannie Beffa ❤️ 🙏
