Jean C. Myrick, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at The Magnolia Creek Nursing Home in Covington, Tennessee. Born on November 27, 1945, Jean was the beloved daughter of the late Basil and Gertrude Collins. She dedicated many years of her life working as a data entry clerk for International Harvester, where she was known for her diligence and reliability. A woman of faith, Jean was a former member of Belleview Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Winford Collins and Jimmie Collins. She is survived by her loving son, Patrick Myrick (Jamie) of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kimber Myrick, Taylor Myrick, Dylan Myrick, and Zach Myrick; and five great-grandchildren, Marshall, Princeton, Zane, Winston and Rose. She is also survived by her brother, Billy Collins of Corinth, Mississippi, and a cherished neighbor and friend, Nathaniel Scott.
Jean will be remembered for her kind spirit, quiet strength, and the love she held for her family and friends. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.
