Geraldine Byrd, went to her Heavenly Home on May 4, 2025 in Melbourne, Arkansas. She was born in Pembroke, Georgia to Homer and Addie Barrow. She was the oldest of three children.
Geraldine was often called a wordsmith! A writer, a poet, a songwriter, wrote short stories and had written a children's book. She had a gift for meeting people and never met a stranger. She was witty and had a sense of humor that kept people laughing. You never knew what to expect, except that it would make you laugh. Geraldine had an exceptional memory and could tell interesting stories from the past. She enjoyed music, fishing and traveling but, most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Lannie Byrd; two sons, Johnny Richardson of Mount Vernon, Georgia, David Richardson of Marion, Arkansas; one step daughter, Gina Ellis of Bartlett, Tennessee; two step-dons, Lannie (Jennifer ) Byrd of Little Rock, Arkansas and Jonathan (Kim) Byrd of Mountain View, Arkansas; brother, Jerry Barrow of Ivey, Georgia; six grand children; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and fifteen step-grandchildren.
