of Bull Shoals, AR
October 8, 1976 - April 21, 2025
Mrs. Susanne Due, age 48, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, left this world far too soon on Monday, April 21, 2025. Her passing will be deeply felt by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Born on October 8, 1976, in Wauchula, Florida, Susanne was the cherished daughter of Rex and Katheline (Thompson) Staton. Though she was born a Florida girl, she found her heart and home in the hills of Arkansas, where her laughter and kindness echoed through every room she entered.
For over 17 years, Susanne was a familiar face and a comforting presence at Connie's Cafe'. With a sweet drawl and a smile that could brighten the darkest day, she served more than just coffee she served kindness, compassion, and conversation. Folks didn't just come for the biscuits, they came for Susanne.
When she wasn't caring for others, Susanne found peace in life's simple pleasures. She had a gift for sewing, a sharp aim in the woods during hunting season, and a deep love for nature, especially the riverbanks where she'd lose herself in a good book. But her favorite moments were spent with the ones who called her grandma, Her grandbabies, Angel, Robby, and Kayleighann were her pride and joy, and she filled their lives with warmth, wonder, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her loving children: her son Blake Due (Kaitlyn) and daughter Taylor Due (Adam); her three precious grandchildren; her devoted father Rex Staton; her brother Scott Staton; sister Angie Staton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were all touched by her genuine spirit and boundless heart.
Susanne was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Katheline, and now, we take comfort in knowing they are together again two sweet souls watching over their family from Heaven's front porch.
Though her time with us was cut short, the love Susanne poured into this world lives on in every story, every laugh, and every memory we hold close. She was a light in this world, and it won't be the same without her.
You are truly loved and missed. You will always be in my heart. Love you sister
I can’t remember a time when Susanne wasn’t at Connie’s to great me (us) and give her morning ration of sarcasm.
I have no words that will adequately express her loss.., things won’t be the same without her. RIP my dear friend.
My condolences to the family. I only knew your mother for a short time, while I cared for Kenneth Chaney during his time of transitioning to meet the Lord. Susanne you were a pleasant and stand up individual to be around. May you rest in peace. Tell Kenneth I send my love.
Although we lived thousands miles away from each other, my Love for you never faded! I will always remember all the wonderful memories we shared together! I will Love and miss you Forever, until we meet again in Paradise! I Love You My Beautiful Cousin “Susie Lou”
Susanne. The world lost a beautiful soul when it lost you woman! Give your mama a kiss for me and save me a place by the River. Maybe there will be a talent show we can enter up there and win 1st place not 2nd this time. I love you so much. Fly high sweet girl
We spent the last 6 years eating breakfast at Connies and Suanne aways welcomed us in and at times, sat and talked to us about her life and mostly about the last deer she got. She quickly became part of our family as she became family with everyone who ate at Connies. her sarcasm with a few of her customers always made me laugh. we were so sorry and numb to hear of her passing. we will forever remember all the good times she shared with us and will be missed greatly. I Pray god watches over Blake and Taylor as they navigate through this difficult time.
My heart goes out to the family. Suzanne was full of laughs and always had your back. We made memories that I will never forget. She so dearly loved her family it showed. I know she got a big hug from her momma! Sending prayers!
She was the first person to welcome us to Bull Shoals and made us feel at home here. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
