DeEtte Michele Stelljes

of Bauxite, AR

February 13, 1972 - April 13, 2025

DeEtte Michele Stelljes, 53, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025. She was born in Benton, Arkansas to Ralph Owens and Myrna Knight.

A woman of deep Christian faith, DeEtte lived her life with a generous heart and a joyful spirit. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished daughter who poured her heart into caring for those around her both in her personal life and professional calling as a registered nurse. Her compassionate and nurturing soul touched the lives of countless patients and loved ones.

DeEtte had a vibrant personality that matched her favorite color, red. She had a passion for the simple pleasures in life: spending time with her family, doting on her beloved schnauzers, cat and bird and enjoying hobbies like quilting, gardening and canning. Her warmth, creativity and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Robert Stelljes; her father and stepmother, Ralph and Kathy Owens; her mother, Myrna Owens and her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Scott (John). She is also survived by her half-brother, Alan Robbins; half-sister, Cindy Bott and two step-sisters, Deidre Metheny and Victoria Kannan. DeEtte leaves behind many friends and extended family members who will deeply miss her presence and the light she brought into their lives.

A memorial visitation and service to celebrate DeEtte's life will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton, Arkansas 72015.

DeEtte's legacy of love, compassion and joy will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her.

I'm so saddened to hear of DeEtte's passing. I've known her since elementary school. She was such a joyful, exuberant person. I enjoyed talking with her when I'd run into her in town or when she would come into the hospital lab where I worked while she was working for home health. She was a special person who will definitely be missed. My condolences to her family and all who loved her.

My dear friend, we have been friends since grade school. I will miss you so very much. You have always been a kind and uplifting person. I loved the way you were not afraid to share your love of Jesus.

When my late husband was about to go in for a biopsy which we knew was only to confirm the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer he had already received. I was standing back there waiting for them to take him back feeling like my whole world was falling apart. Behind me walked in the nurse and when I finally turned around. I realized it was my childhood friend, DeEtte. She instantly comforted me and put me at ease that she would make sure he was taken care of in surgery. I know God send us what we need when we need it. I will forever be grateful to her.
