Edith Mae McAndrews, age 100, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was born May 24, 1924, in Dallas, Texas, to Louis and Clara (Baten) Jones.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Delores Waylett and (Steve) of California; and her son, Waymond Manning and (Fran) of Missouri.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Joseph McAndrews and son, Howard Manning.
Service were on Monday April 28, 2025, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Interment was at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.

Edith was a sweet lady. I was so blessed to be a neighbor and a friend to her. She had such an interesting and full life, as I sat listening to the stories she would tell me, sometimes for hours at a time.. I was blessed to have known this special lady. I will miss her.

Wishing we could be with all of you. So thankful we could see mom one last time just weeks before her passing. We are all grateful that God granted her last wish to depart peacefully in her own home.

We moved to Watts St. in 1999 and immediately became friends with Edith and Joe. We were good friends for many years. We would visit each other almost daily. They were an interesting couple and both of them had many interesting stories about their life in California before and after they were married. Joe passed away several years ago and now Edith is gone. They were good friends and neighbors. We have missed Joe and now we will miss Edith. May she rest in peace.
