Virginia ''Jenny'' Lynne Burks, age 63, peacefully passed away at her home in West Memphis, AR on February 1, 2025 after a lengthy battle with Stage IV Kidney Cancer. She was born November 26, 1961 in Memphis, TN and represented the embodiment of a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Happily married for 39 years, Jenny is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Burks and three children, Samantha Burks Newcomb, Alex Burks and Madison Burks. A loving and dedicated grandmother to three grandchildren, Mason Burks, Savannah Burks and Asher Burks, Jenny took pride in the love she had for her family and the abundance of joy and elation that came with being ''gran''. Jenny is also survived by her brother, Steve Brite and sister, Pauletta Gordon. Jenny is preceded in death by her benevolent and loving parents, Ernest Brite and Virginia Higginbotham Brite, as well as her brother, J. D. Fortune and two sisters, Betty Carol O'Rourke and Rachel Brite. In lieu of flowers, the Burks family asks that you consider making a financial contribution to help cover medical expenses accrued throughout Jenny's two and a half year battle with cancer. Any contributions above the designated goal will be put towards general, unavoidable funeral expenses. Jenny worked as my Official Court Reporter during my last years as a Circuit Judge. Jenny was hard working, professional and never complained about our sometime long hours. Jenny was not only an excellent employee but became a good friend. She will definitely be missed.

Jenny was a beautiful soul and it was an pleasure working with her for over a decade and an honor to call her my friend. My deepest sympathies for the family.
Jenny was a wonderful woman. My heart breaks for her family and friends. I pray you can feel comfort in this trying time in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior and no longer in pain.
