of North Little Rock, AR
August 20, 1933 - January 31, 2025
James Dwight Faulk went home to be with his Lord on January 31, 2025.
Dwight was born in Shady Grove, Arkansas on August 20, 1933. Not having a crib, his mother placed him in an open dresser drawer to sleep. The family moved to Dyess, Arkansas when he was a boy. Out in the field picking cotton by the age of 5, he worked until, as he put it, his ''bender'' (spine) hurt. A few years later he would spend his days plowing behind his mules or riding his favorite horse, Topsy. In high school the family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas where he graduated from North Little Rock High School and began his lifelong marriage with Martha Jean Clements. His plow boy work ethic would take him from the fields, through sales, into management and finally into starting his own successful business (D & S Packaging), working well into his eighties. Throughout this time, he served his country with 22 years in the National Guard followed by many years in the Army Reserves.
Family and faith defined his life. He worked hard, provided well and was proud of his family. He served and gave to his God, leading worship (with Jean at the piano) and giving to establish churches literally all over the world, supporting multiple ministries and missions over his lifetime. Everyone who knew him can testify to his Christian legacy of kindness, compassion and commitment to friends, family and anyone in need. As a faithful steward of all God had given him, he strived to live a life worthy of hearing his Master say, ''Well done, thou good and faithful servant.''
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Washington and Lena Mae Faulk and his sisters, Reba Russell and Fay Dene Moore. He is survived by his wife of almost 72 years, Martha Jean Faulk, and his sons, Steven Dwight Faulk (wife, Nancy) and James Ira Faulk (wife, Sharon). He was blessed with six grandchildren, Chris Faulk, Stefanie Carter, Alex Faulk, Emily Martin, Grace Faulk and Carly Faulk as well as 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Assembly of God, North Little Rock, Missions Fund or The Gideons International.

Dear Jean and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Dwight was so good to Mom and Dad in their later years. He would stop by to see them every chance he got. We enjoyed many phone conversations through the years. He was such a considerate man. I know he is rejoicing in heaven now. It won’t belong until we have a great family reunion.
Jean and boys; I’m Sorry for your loss but rejoicing for his Gain. Going to miss our phone conversations commiserating the aging process and the “remember when” about our shared relatives. We are all walking the same road and as far as I know, like uncle Ira, Dwight walked his WELL. Did you know the he was named after his uncle and my Dad. He was Dwight to most but he was “Sonny” to me.
Our thoughts and prayers are will you all during this difficult time. We know he is in a much better place and we will see him again one day.
Love,
Steve & Derenda
Jim & Sharon,
Our love and thoughts are with you guys. Asking for the Lord’s grace during this next season. Such a hard time.
We love you.
