Mildred Leona Berry

of Beebe, AR

April 11, 1934 - January 6, 2025

Mildred Leona Berry of Beebe, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 8:30 p.m. at her daughter's home at the age of 90. Mildred was born Wednesday, April 11, 1934 to Lula Winfield Graham and Hulet Graham.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but her favorite past time was hand and foot canasta with whomever she could persuade to be her victim because everyone knew she would win. Mildred was a dedicated Christian, reading her bible daily and praying for her family. Her greatest desire in life for her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great grandchild was to personally know the lord because that was the desire of her heart. She prayed for each of them every night, naming them all by name, then as the grandchildren married, she added their spouses to the list.

Mildred is survived by one sister, Barbara Reeves of Montgomery, Alabama; four children, Beth Hines (Floyd) of Beebe, Arkansas, Peggy Locke (Michael) of Saint Augustine, Florida, Donald Berry (Maryann) of Truman, Arkansas and Jerry Berry of Greenwood, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Berry of Marvell, Arkansas; her parents; sisters, Letha Jones of Lonoke, Arkansas, Stella Brogdon of Higden, Arkansas, Loucinda Fuqua of Star City, Arkansas and Carolyn Graham of Wheatley, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Matt Berry, Anthony Aguilar, Timothy Stutzman, Chris Baker, Phillip Burrow and Jarron Vessells.

A funeral service for Mildred L. Berry will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Trenton Cemetery in Trenton, Arkansas. Stephan Richardson will officiate.

Services will be directed by the staff of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870)-572-2571. Relatives and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/westhelena.

Sorry to hear of your Mom’s death. I loved Ms Mildred. We all grew up together. Your Mom’s house was my second home. We had so much fun. Sweet memories..
You were blessed to to have a Christian Mom. She always had her family in church every time the doors opened.
Just think of how excited she was when she woke up in heaven. I can only imagine:
One day you will see her again and it will be for eternity. Love all of you.

We sure loved Mrs. Mildred and Bro. Don. We ate many meals at their home. She was such a dedicated saint, she loved her family, her church family and her friends dearly. We played domino with her. She was a tough cookie to beat. She is rejoicing with her Savior Jesus Christ now and reunited with her husband. We will pray for the family for comfort during this time of grief. Look to Jesus for your strength and comfort.
