Nancy Carolyn Milam Rhodes passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Monday, November 25, 2024. Nancy was born to Newt P. and Marion Taylor Milam on November 23, 1948 in Conway, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William C. (Bill) Rhodes, Jr.
Nancy is survived by two sisters, Jeane Moore of Russellville, Arkansas and Jo Usher of Brunswick, Georgia; her children, Mandi Wilson (Brian) of Conway, Arkansas, Bryan Rhodes (Alison) of Highland Village, Texas, Stacy Bean (Robbie) of Cabot, Arkansas and Brent Rhodes (Kim) of Conway, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Brody and Megan Wilson, Will, Luke, Hudson and Kate Rhodes, Coy and Larkyn Bean and Gwen Rhodes; sister-in-law, Mariam Smith (Eddy) of Chattanooga, Tennessee and her best friend and loyal companion, Baxter.
Nancy graduated from Conway High School and Arkansas State Teachers College. She taught elementary school for 20 years in the Quitman, Little Rock and Bigelow, Arkansas school districts. She was a Lifetime member of Conway Junior Auxiliary. Nancy grew up attending and was a member of First Baptist Church in Conway and in later years attended Second Baptist Church and Cornerstone Church. She enjoyed attending Bible Study Fellowship and Joy of Living.
Nancy enjoyed RV traveling and spending time at the lake with her husband, Bill. In more recent years, she became quite tech savvy learning to attend her Bible Study Groups online and how to navigate all the sporting apps to watch her grandchildren (and the Conway Wampus Cats) participate in sports and activities.
On behalf of Nancy, the family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone from CARTI Conway.
There will be a reception at Conway First Baptist Church Friday, November 29, 2024 from 1:00-2:30pm. The family welcomes anyone who would like to come by to do so and share a memory of Mrs. Nancy. Following the reception there will be a Graveside Service at Crestlawn Memorial Park at 3:00pm.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of Nancy when we were growing up. Many a ride in the mini van, countless times just walking right through your front door to her standing in the kitchen ready to report if Mandi was home or not. Always with a smile.
