Betty Hawkins Nash, age 94, of Harrison died on November 7, 2024. She was born on July 7, 1930 in Omaha, Arkansas to Elzie Howard and Audra Leah (Riddlesperger) Hawkins. Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
She worked for thirty-one years, serving as accounts receivable supervisor, starting at Save-A-Stop, it then became Mass Merchandisers, McKesson and then Millbrook, from where she retired.
Betty was a faithful member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a member of the Hearthstone Sunday School Class. She served the church as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. She also enjoyed attending Bible studies and the Disciples Women Circle.
Betty was a member of the Garden Club and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling with her family to Israel, Europe, and the United States. She loved to read and loved her mini poodle, Raven, who was her constant companion. Betty looked forward to the days that Elsie Edwards would come to care for her.
She is survived by her daughter, Leah Ann West, her husband, Hilton, and her granddaughter, Laura Ann West all of Harrison.
The visitation was an hour before the service.
The funeral service was on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Rev. Laura West officiating.
Interment was at Maplewood Cemetery.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.

I apologize for the lateness in this note, I did not know about Betty’ passing until today (Dec.1)
I had the pleasure of visiting with her on occasion, and she was such a pleasant lady. I’m sure you will miss her but also know she is a peace. Please know that my prayers will be with you all.
