Marilyn Earl Huey Bryant

of Benton, AR

September 2, 1938 - July 8, 2024

Marilyn Earl Huey Bryant, 85, of Benton died Monday, July 8, 2024.  Marilyn was born September 2, 1938 to Earl and Geneva Huey.

Marilyn worked as a Registered Nurse for 37 years, most of that time serving at Saline Memorial Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Department.  She had a passion for teaching and helping expectant mothers prepare to welcome and care for their babies.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Benton and the Gleaners Sunday School class.  It was evident through her daily prayer and Bible study that her life was fueled by her faith and love for Jesus Christ.

She enjoyed her time traveling with friends, square dancing, playing games and watching birds from her deck.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd and sister, Celia Mabry (Ozell).  She is survived by her sister, Donna Johnston (Parker) of Largo, FL; three children, Steve Bryant (Nancy) of Brunswick, GA, Mark Bryant (Patti) of Benton, Beth Loeb (Bobby) of McKinney, TX; Five granddaughters, Sarah Ray (Mike), Sarah Ryan (Jake), Maddy Loeb (Felipe), Emily Winn (Jason) and Jessa Elkins (Ethan); One great grandson, Liam and one great granddaughter on the way, Raelynn; along with many friends and neighbors young and old.

Because of Marilyn's love for prenatal health, children and families, her family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to New Beginnings Pregnancy Center at 120 South Conrad, Benton, AR 72015 or the Arkansas Baptist Homes for Children, 150 Hyatt Court, Monticello, AR 71655.

Her services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 12, 2024 at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rick Grant officiating, A visitation will be one hour prior to service.

My Aunt Marilyn was a sweet spirited, kind woman. I have so many fond memories of her care for me as a child, she was such a sweet, gentle, nurturing Aunt to me. I know it was her faith in Jesus that shaped the woman she was, and I know she is home with Him now - and with Floyd, and Earl and Geneva!

God bless you Bryant family (and Loeb's). Lots of big love and prayers constantly coming your way.

Mark, I’m so sorry your mom was such an amazing person. But because Covid has reared it ugly head again. I choose to stay out of crowds in small places. I know you and your family have some beautiful memories and that’s what you need to hang onto. Are those beautiful memories.
