of Searcy, AR

September 21, 1932 - April 22, 2024

Barabara Rensch Josh, 91, of Clarendon went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2024. Barbara was born on September 21, 1932 to Frederick and Irene Rensch in Chicago, Illinois. Barbara grew up in a loving home with her parents and her two siblings, Fred and Susie.

Barbara enjoyed going to church and singing in the choir, which is where she met her husband, Arthur Josh. Art and Barbara married in 1952 and relocated to Clarendon in 1958. Barbara found a church home immediately at the First Presbyterian Church in Clarendon where she served as the lead Pianist/Organist for years. After the move, she purchased and operated a local Tasty Freeze before she began her career with the Clarendon School district. Barbara worked in the school district for numerous years until she retired.

Upon retirement Barb enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her family. She would often gloat at how lucky she was to have such a close and loving family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her Father, Frederick Rensch; Mother, Irene Rensch; Husband, Arthur Josh and her longtime friend, Anna Marie Woodell. She is survived by her Brother, Fred Rensch of Chicago; Sister, Susie Boshers of Jonesboro; Daughter, Vicki Elam; Grandsons, Josh Elam (Morgan), Cody Larque (Ashley) and Great Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Luke, Carter and Madelyn all of Searcy and many more family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Clarendon, Arkansas on Saturday, April 27th at 2:00 pm.

As I was growing up in Clarendon, I found her to be a wonderful musician, friend to many and a funny lady. It was a joy to know her.
