Ruth Langford

March 1, 1939 - April 20, 2024

Ruth Langford passed away on April 20, 2024 in Sherwood, Arkansas at the age of 85. She was born on March 1, 1939 in Solgohachia, Arkansas to the parent of Luther and Mae Edwards.

Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a faithful wife and loving sister. Ruth cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Attending church and having company were some of her favorite activities. Her warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by five children, Michelle (Richard) Irwin of TX; Sheila (Ricky) Burgess of Cabot, AR; Marsha Gregg of Bartlesville, OK; Michael (Melanie) Langford of Greenbrier, AR and Melissa (Bart) Walters of Mount Vernon, AR.
Ruth is also survived by two brothers, Garland (Sonda) Edwards of Hot Springs, AR and Carl (Brenda) Edwards of Searcy, AR. She leaves behind eleven grandchildren, Kenny Adair of England AR; Ricky Roy Irwin of Tx, Breyanne (Clint) Watson of Conway; Tiffanie (Jared) Fowlkes of Vilonia, Jessica (Jacob) Knight of Vilonia; Kristi (Jarod) Maynard of Cabot; Stephanie (Clint) Roper of Cabot; Cameron (Caleb) Gregg of Yukon, OK; Brendon Gregg of Bartlesville OK; Mike (Katherine) Langford of Conway AR and Clay Walters of Mount Vernon AR; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Langford; parents, Luther and May Edwards and brother, Bruce Edwards.

In her career, Ruth worked at Timex as a young woman before becoming a stay-at-home wife and mother. Later on, she became a CNA, caring for others.

Ruth worshipped at Friendship Baptist in Conway, AR and enjoyed caring for her flowers and gardening.

There will be a graveside for Ruth Langford at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, April 27, 2024 starting at 1pm. A visitation at Roller McNutt in Conway, Arkansas will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 6-8pm.
