Mary Elizabeth Salter Milam, age 97, of Little Rock, AR went to be with the Lord, February 14, 2024. She was born March 31,1926 in Greenbrier, Arkansas to James M. and Iva Jewell (Wilson) Salter. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Billie Barrett, her sister and her husband, Edward Aaron, to whom she was married for 59 years.
Mary attended Arkansas State Normal School (UCA) and retired from State Farm Insurance Company in Pine Bluff. She was a member of Alpha Tau Epsilon Sorority, the American Business Women's Club and served with the Jefferson County Mounted Patrol for many years. Mary had an exciting life as a young girl when she worked for the Jacksonville Arsenal making bombs that were used in War World II. Mary was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Little Rock and she will be remembered for her laughter, sense of fashion and adventure and especially her love for family and friends.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Gary Milam (Judy) of Little Rock, AR and Randy Milam (Claudia) of Alexander, AR; one granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth Milam Struthers (Andrew); one step granddaughter, Laura Calhoun (Brian) and their two children, Hayden and Tristan. The light of her life was when her great grandson, Spencer Andrew Struthers, age four, was born.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hickory Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and to Hospice of AR.

I remember visiting with Mary & Ed all the time. I would come over to take Ed Hunting , and she would try to get me to eat something she had fix for lunch.
She was always so sweet and easy to talk to every time I came over to there house. I’ll sure miss her.
