Nota Ruth Hodge, 99, of Shirley, Arkansas was born on February 12, 1924 in Morganton, Arkansas to the late Albert and Cleta (Hooten) Fanning and went to be with her Lord on January 29, 2024 in Clinton. She was a long time member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Nota Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Kermit Hodge.

Left to cherish her memory are beloved family that she helped raise; Jerry Hensley (Elsie), Karen Johnson, Kristina Dixon (Bobby), Amber Jones, Samantha Patterson (Caleb) other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Shirley. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in Settlement Cemetery in Shirley.

I first met Ruth when she came up to visit during the death of my dad. She brought a dozen eggs and impressed me so much that she would think of doing that. We both shared our love of gardening, flowers, animals, and cooking. She will be missed by many people.
