I am very sad to learn of Connie passing. Like everyone in the SHHS Class of '65, I liked Connie. She really was a nice person. My career took me away from Arkansas for many years. But when I returned, Connie was just as friendly to me as if I had never left. I envy all those that got to stay in touch with each other over the years.

We are so sorry the world has lost a very special angel. She was always smiling and so very kind and thoughtful. I spent my senior year at SHHS and reconnected with her and David in Conway after my husband returned from Viet Nam and rented a duplex across from them. We were both pregnant, and with another pregnant neighbor, Kay Dietz, we carpooled to LR for our regular OB visits. (Lots of laughs there)

Our condolences go to all her family, and we know all who knew her will have wonderful happy memories.

Thank you Connie, for being in my life. You opened your heart and your home to me. You showed me the biblical meaning of “Love thy neighbor as thy self “. For God truly blessed you with a loving heart and joyful soul. May all the lives you touched carry on this love and joy. God bless your family. Love you Connie. Your Friend, Peggy from SHHS

Without knowing, last week after she had already passed, I called her number and left a message to her family; asking them to let Connie know that I was thinking of her. I had called several times over the last few months hoping that she would recover and get her strength back. I met her through the Faulkner County Landlord Association. We became friends and would visit often. Connie really had an amazing outlook on life which carried her through the good times and bad. Her outlook was built on the foundation of her faith.

As we frequently hear on our airways "We now want to acknowledge another Life Well Lived" for a great neighbor and friend that Connie was to me. As a childhood neighbor that delivered newspapers to her home and visited across the back fence I only have positive memories of this pleasant lady and her wonderful parents. May their reunion be joyful and everlasting.

I was so sad to hear that Connie had left us. I was blessed to have known her and shared her time at Sylvan Hills High School and then, occasionally, as we took separate paths after that. She was always very nice and friendly to everyone and enjoyable to be around. I'll remember her most for her beautiful smile. Due to family health issues, I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend Saturday but will be thinking of her and will keep her family in my prayers. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I will always remember Connie and her big beautiful smile which she shared with everybody she met. All the kids that grew up in the Sylvan Hills/Sherwood area went to school together for all 12 grades and as I look back we were kind of like one big family. My prayers go up for her family and I just pray God will give you that peace that passes all understanding during this time of sorrow.

Connie was the one of the most loveliest and dear friends. She Sharon Myer and I loved cheering together for the “Bears”!
We three wore special little gold elephant pins on our uniforms to show that we loved each other dearly. I remember so many special spending the nights at her house. Her Mom and Dad were so loving to all of us. Connie is such a beautiful special person. A rare pearl, I feel blessed to get to have grown up with. God bless you always dear friend and your beautiful family. You will be missed but always when we think of you there will be big smiles on our faces. You were an angel then and now. I’m so saddened to hear the news of your passing. But I know Heaven is rejoicing in having your living self with them. You are one very special Lady Ms Connnie!
I still have my little elephant pin and think of you and Sharron so often! I Know God has you in His loving arms.

Connie was my cousin. Her parents and mine would play cards together a lot and we usually went out to the Olds house in Sherwood, so Connie and I would play together wile the grownups played cards.
We stayed in touch even after I settled in Washington state and visited several times during the years as my wife and I traveled around the country. I remember her dad, Bernard, at age 91, telling me “growing old ain’t for sissies.” She even visited me during an Alaskan trip a few years ago. I took her for a drive from Seattle up to and around my home, she told me then that now she knew where Sasquatch/Bigfoot must live.
While we didn’t really see each other all that much we corresponded via email and I’ll always remember her.
