of Sherwood, AR

April 17, 1923 - January 14, 2024

Verna Mae Vincent, 100, of Sherwood, Arkansas formerly of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

She was raised in Orange, Texas and later moved to Dallas.

Verna raised her two sons along with her husband, Bill and worked as a bookkeeper well into her 70's.

She loved gardening, fishing and watching her favorite teams on TV. She had a strong belief in the value of a good education.

Verna was blessed to be a part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives for the past 13 years. She loved watching them perform and attended lots of their sporting events.

She is survived by her two sons, Sid Vincent and wife, Judy of Sherwood and Neal Vincent of California; three grandsons, John Paul (Jessica), Christopher (Courtney) and Scott and granddaughter, Mary Ann (Zac); thirteen great-grandchildren, Ruthie, Magnolia, Brooks, Gabriel, Gracie, Annabel, Annalee, Whit, Evie and Simon Vincent as well as Graham, Harper and Abram Hendricks.

She also has three nieces, Nockie, Rena and Kelly and two nephews, Randy and Mike.

Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Vincent and great-granddaughter, Faith Vincent.

Services will be held Friday, January 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Interment will follow at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Sid‘s mother. I was thinking about your family not too long ago and wondering if she was still living. What a long, joyful life she had. I am so happy that she was able to spend her last year’s with, family. Love and prayers for you all.
