Letty Henderson

of Little Rock, AR

February 23, 1936 - January 3, 2024

Letty had a giving spirit that blessed the family and friends she loved dearly. Her life's work was the time and care she dedicated to them. Letty was a wonderful mother to her daughters. As adults, she became their closest and most cherished friend. She loved to entertain and made every gathering so special. Adding to her hosting talents, she was an amazing cook. Her dear friends' will attest to her famous Sunday get-togethers.

Letty adored her grandchildren and loved doting on them. Her personal hobbies included fishing, gardening and following the Arkansas Razorbacks in any sport. She cared deeply for animals and donated regularly to the Humane Society for their needs. Letty had a true servant's heart and will be so missed by everyone it covered.

She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Becker (Chad) and Judith Akridge (Leroy III); grandchildren, Samuel Becker, Ava Becker and Leroy Akridge IV; brother, Rudy Fraser (Linda); sister, Tina Fraser; multiple nephews and nieces and a host of wonderful family and friends.

Letty is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Willice Henderson and brothers, Duane Fraser and Fred Fraser.

The family give special thanks to the team of CARTI and Arkansas Hospice for their wonderful care of Letty.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12th from 4:00-6:00 PM at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 3:00 PM at Fakes Chapel Cemetery in McCrory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Arkansas Humane Society.

I cannot even imagine the deep loss felt by Judith and Jessica and their families of their mother. I know as her friend, my grief is beyond words. So many times now I catch myself reaching for the phone to call her. If I needed help in any way, she was available for words of wisdom or swift actions. Mention "go" and you had a companion for a road trip. Our weekly luncheons were big social events no matter where. Vacations to Florida were full of memories and would not have been as enjoyable without Letty. She always knew the food to pack and little necessities needed whether Florida, Gulf Shores, or Lake Silvia. She had a knack for decorating inside and outside the house. Her talents were endless. She could be a nurse, chauffeur, a carpenter, etc.. I feel so fortunate to have known her for over 45 years. She was my mentor, my friend, my caregiver, my soul sister. Rest in peace, Letty. I love and miss you.

There are just no words to express the sorrow in my heart in losing our dear Letty. I am forever grateful for the lifetime of wonderful memories. I shall never forget the warmth of her smile, her beautiful spirit, and her gracious heart. Letty, you are so loved and you will be thought of so very often. May there always be eternal irises in the peaceful gardens where you walk.

You will be so missed Aunt Letty. I still remember our times gardening when you would come to visit Granny’s house when I was younger. I can still see your sweet smile and hear your laugh. I’ll forever cherish these memories than you and I had together.
