Billy Ray Smith, 79, of Middleton, Tennessee passed away on December 18, 2023 in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to parents, Louis C. and Ona May Smith on March 24, 1944.
Mr. Smith spent his working career as a carpenter and painter.
Preceding Billy Ray Smith in death were his parents and 1 sister.
Survivors include his son, William Smith and daughter, Wendy Murry-Rowland.
Services for Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. The visitation will begin at 11 AM followed by the funeral service at 12 PM. Interment will take place at Memphis Memorial Gardens, Memphis, TN following the services.

Buddy was always upbeat. He took such wonderful care of his mom and when I said that he was doing a wonderful job, he corrected me, saying, “It’s not a job.”
