Carolyn ''Sue'' Farmer, 73, a resident of Clarksville passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 in Clarksville.
She was the daughter of the late Homer ''Blackie'' and Thelma (Green) Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne Gilbert and two sisters, Joan Humphrey and Diane Gilbert.
She is survived by her son, Terry Farmer and spouse, Mark of Grand Prairie, TX; two daughters, Susan Kemp and spouse, Greg of Lamar, AR and Alicia Merritt and spouse, Dylan of Lamar, AR; her brother, Gerald Gilbert and spouse, Karen of Cabot, AR; her grandchildren, Alex Kemp and Tia Davenport; her great-grandchildren, Kadence Sue Merritt, Davey Merritt and Collin Davenport; a longtime companion, Paul Bain of New Edinburg, AR; ex-husband, Doyle Farmer and a faithful pal, Woody.

I love this woman so much. She was everything to me. Losing her and Granny Ruth both this year has been hard. I have loved her forever, and she has loved me forever. We’ve had many fun memories together. We’ve laughed. We cried we’ve had, we’ve spent many nights together at hospitals, nursing home, your house and everywhere in between. I’ll never forget the memories we had together. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me and for all of the memories. You are one special grandma. And go give them to Cardinals up there a big hug for me up in heaven. Tell Granny Ruth I said hello. And then I will see you two up there one day. And tell her not to worry her preacher will be preaching soon. This is bittersweet. You are no longer suffering and no longer in pain but selfishly I want you still around. I still want to make more memories with you. But we will be back together again one day. What a day that will be. From your grandson.

I love my a sweet Sue dearly. She was by far my favorite of the cousins(though I always called her Aunt Sue). I will miss her and think of her often as I know she is probably bringing messages to those that have passed before her of all of our lives that they may have missed. The world was such a better place because she existed and she took some of that light with her.
