Lyndell Campbell

of England, AR

October 8, 1942 - December 1, 2023

Lyndell Campbell of England, Arkansas was born in England on October 8, 1942 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 1, 2023 in Little Rock surrounded by family. He married the love of his life, Cheryl Holladay on Friday, February 21, 1964, who preceded him in death on October 19th of this year. In nearly 60 years of marriage, the past 6 weeks has been the longest they have ever been apart.
Lyndell (Jimbo as he was known) spent the majority of his career in the insurance industry working for Allstate. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors, playing golf, walking at the community center and his coffee time at the John Deere place in England each morning.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Campbell and her husband, Doug; his grandchildren, Roxanne Marlar (James), Spencer Ward (Haley) and Jon David Campbell, Mallory Campbell and great grandsons, Forrest Marlar, Hart Ward, Jaxon Campbell and Cru Campbell. Lyndell was also preceded in death by his parents, Dollie and Henry Campbell; sisters, Margaret Sloan, Macel Combs (Bill) and Barbara Campbell Curtis; brothers, Louis Campbell, Charles Campbell, Bobby Campbell (Helen), Curtis Campbell, Bill Campbell and Clarence Campbell. Lyndell is survived by one sister, Betty Burnett; sister-in-laws, Mary Campbell and Janice Campbell and one brother-in-law, Roy Curtis.
He will be remembered as a devoted Christian man, serving as a deacon at Landmark Baptist Church, who would not shy away from sharing his faith with others. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Landmark Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 177, England, Arkansas 72046.
Visitation will be Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 with service at 2:00 at Landmark Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Keo Cemetery in Keo, Arkansas.

Just want say he had a great passion for Christ and a great family man we wish for all of us to be that lucky. I just ask for the Father above to be with the family through this difficult time. Thoughts and prayers for them.

I will always remember ‘Papa Jim’ as a calm presence at any family functions when both sides of the family were together. He was always so pleasant to visit with! It was obvious how much he adored Cheryl and how happy it made him to be with Paula, Doug and all the grandkids.
