Scottie Lee Mize, 65, of Heber Springs, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 21, 2023. He was the son of the late James Howard Mize and Martha Hendrickson.
He was an electrician for Little Rock Electric. He was of the Baptist faith and devoted his life to his daughter, his most precious gift.
He served in the Navy.
He played football all through high-school and was a Razorback fanatic as friends and family can attest to. He had a love of music and played in a band in his younger years.
Scott also loved the ocean and was an advanced scuba diver. Ask the story about the eel, lol. Scott could make anyone laugh, which is a special gift. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by wife, Julie Mize and daughter, Emmalie Mize of Heber Springs; stepmother, Pat Mize of Maumelle; two brothers, Todd Mize and his wife, Rosetta of Conway and Mark Mize and his wife, Marissa of Conway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

So sorry for your loss. Scott was a nut. He came to my parents farm for a week every summer when we were kids and oh the mischief we would get in. He borrowed my dad's house bolt cutters one year and cut down my Uncle Floyd's barbwire fence letting out all the cattle. Needless to say, my dad and his dad were not happy. Many cows to round up and a fence to repair. His visit was cut short that year. Maybe that was where he came to like working with tools. Anyway, Scott was my 1st cousin. I tried to get in touch after my mom died in 2020. Was unsuccessful. I'm sad our family was not close and my daughter and grand could have known him. My heart is with you. He will be missed.
