Imajean Taylor

of Tilly, AR

March 19, 1934 - November 6, 2023

Imajean Clark Taylor, age 89, of Tilly, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 6th, 2023 in Morrilton, Arkansas at the home of her daughter, Carleta Grabher, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Campaign, Tennessee on March 19th, 1934 to Hardy Hillis Clark and Kizzie Ann Drewry Clark. She married Carl Taylor, the love of her life for 65 years. You never saw one of them without the other.

Imajean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was known for being a hard worker and gardener extraordinaire. She raised five children and worked and retired from Flintrock Shirt Factory. Imajean loved to fish with her children and grandchildren and fed anyone who entered her home. She loved picking and sharing her produce with any and everyone. Imajean probably hosted more wedding and baby showers than anyone on the mountain. She was a joy to everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Imajean is preceded in death by her parents, Hardy and Kizzie Clark; step-mother, Leslie "Sis" Robbs; her husband, Carl Allen Taylor, who passed away in 2017; her son, Phillip Roland Taylor; infant grandson, Toby Yarbrough; great-grandson, Hayden Fallen; sisters, Pauline Clark Weaver and stillborn infant, Willodean Clark.

Survivors include her children, Carleta Grabher (Pete) of Morrilton, Reita Yarbrough (Don) of Marshall, Rhonda Maness (Danny) of Conway and Earnest Taylor (Dorothy) of Marshall; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Taylor of Tilly; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Imajean will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 at Witts Springs Community Center with Pastor Jim Arnold officiating. Special music will be performed by Ryleigh Hudson, Jacy Hinchey, Bro. Jim and Sis. Diane Arnold. Interment will be in Witts Springs Cemetery following the service.

Prayers for the family during this time. I remember growing up in church with Minden and getting in trouble by Granny Nancy and Granny Imajean all the time for being too loud and giggling. But she was always a joy and a blessing to see and visit with anytime I came back to visit all of the family. She will truly be missed.

It was sad to hear of Imajean passing. I worked with Carl and her many time on planting native grasses many year ago. They were good hard working farmers and great family to have got to spend some good times with. God Bless all of you!
