Anna Marie Nahlen Gunderman, age 94, of Conway passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1928, to Joe and Christine Rumker Nahlen. She retired from Kimberly Clark in Conway after 20 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church and a member of the Christian Mothers Society and a faithful participant of Senior Saints. She was very active in all aspects of St. Joseph Church. The Gunderman family garden was known throughout the city that she attended to daily.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, of 58 years, and her son, John Gunderman. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Joe, Andrew, Tony and Clarence Nahlen and her sisters, Sister Josita Nahlen, OSB, Gertrude Siebenmorgen, and Theresa Nahlen.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Deacon Calvin) Pearcy of Conway, Sharon (Mark) Tyler, of Morrilton, Annette (Duane) Snider of Greenbrier, and Janice (Jeff) Gossett of Germantown, Tennessee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Fr. Jason Tyler of Fayetteville, Tara Tinker of Conway, Kimberly (Justin) Spickes of Little Rock, Josh (Michelle) Tinker of Bella Vista, Eric Tyler of Morrilton, Rachel (Colton) Kordsmeier of Conway, Matthew (Karah) Snider of Nesbit, Mississippi, Melissa Snider of lowa City, lowa, Katherine Snider of Hollister, Missouri, and Anna Gossett of Germantown, Tennessee; 9 great-grandchildren, Melody Spickes, Maggie Tinker, Hannah Tinker, Tyler Spickes, Emily Tinker, Millicent Tinker, Thomas Kordsmeier, Oliver Kordsmeier, and Samuel Kordsmeier; step-grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan (Jessica), Madelyn (Summer) and Lillian Pearcy, and one brother, T. J. Nahlen of Conway.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Nalene Langford and Peggy Burns Rappold for all the care they have given to Anna these last few months.
A rosary and visitation will be held at St. Joseph Church from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, November 24. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 25, at 10:00am, also at St. Joseph, with grandson, Fr. Jason Tyler presiding. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway.
ln lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph School Endowment in Conway or Sacred Heart School Endowment in Morrilton.
Mrs Ann will be missed. Such a sweet, loving and hard working lady. Always had a kind and warm welcome to me and others. Prayers for her and family,may she rest in peace

I have been very blessed to know Anna over the past 3years.She has enriched my life in many ways.Her faithful prayers, encouraging words and very wise ways ...and just spending time with her ,will always be with me.She welcomed me into her home and heart .She will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Sweet Ann. We were neighbors at one time and became friends for life. She was always sharing her smile and kindness. Rest in peace.

Ann was a sweetheart of a lady I know her family will miss her dearly.
Miss Anna was such an example for all of us; her faith, smile, charity and charm will be so missed but a glorious day when she arrived in her well deserved heavenly home.
