Daisy Belle Clayborn

February 15, 1929 - November 5, 2023

Daisy Belle Clayborn, 94, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, in South Bend, Indiana. Born on February 15, 1929, in Coal Hill, Arkansas, Daisy was the cherished daughter of the late James and Ruby Mooney.

Daisy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arlie D. Clayborn. Also preceding her was their daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Michael Simmons, and son, Thomas Clayborn. Her siblings, Joetta Kirkpatrick, Edith Brasher, Alice Robaska, George Mooney, and Doyle Mooney and her great granddaughter, Harper Blake Sorenson.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kathryn Sorenson (David), and her adoring grandchildren, Shawn Simmons (Karla), Jody Simmons, Scott Sorenson, and Steven (Kelsey) Sorenson. Daisy was also the proud great-grandmother of Lacey Simmons, Reese Sorenson, and Owen Sorenson, and the cherished great-great-grandmother of Orian Simmons.

Daisy is also survived by her loving sister, Loretta Ewers (Larry). Their bond was one of deep love and mutual respect, and they shared countless memories and experiences throughout their lives.

A special thank you goes out to Majestic Care South Bend and Southern Care Hospice for taking care of Miss Daisy as she was known.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home chapel followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Knoxville Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville.
