Today, February 27, 2024 is the first of my knowledge of James Hendon's passing in October of last year. He always attended the Keiser Reunion in June of each year. He did not come in 2023. My sister and missed him and wondered about him. I first knew about him through my sister, Shirley, as they were in the same HS graduating class until James left and went into the Air Force their Senior year. Then when I moved to Marion, AR I became friends with James sister. Bettye Jean Hendon Ward. James would come to visit his sister and her husband, Tommy and on occasion I would see him there. I got to know him because we knew some of the same people as he was from the same area I was raised and he knew my sister. I even went with Bettye once to see his wife Moe as they referred to her. James was always visiting family and going to a place he had bought near Hardy. He was a very friendly fella and I'm really sorry I was not aware of his death. He lived a long life. He was very good to his sister Bettye because she took care of their ageing Mother. To his daughter. I owe you the respect for he took care of your Mother and you. He cared for you very much and talked about you when I would see him at Bettye and Tommy's. I remember him as a kind and caring man. Sincerely, Chris Shoemake

Today is 11/25 and I am so sorry that i didn't know of my good friend's passing until today.
We visited in person or had long conversations on the phone. He loved to talk about old times and so did I. We had many things in common.
